SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY

Effective Date: 14 August 2026
Last Updated: 14 August 2026

This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how Shwetshilp processes, packs, dispatches and delivers orders placed through the Shwetshilp website.
Shwetshilp is an e-commerce brand operating from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, offering marble, natural stone, handcrafted décor, architectural elements, furniture, accessories and related products.

By placing an order, you agree to this Shipping and Delivery Policy together with Shwetshilp’s Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cancellation and Refund Policy.

1. Shipping Coverage
Shwetshilp delivers to serviceable locations across India.
Delivery availability depends on:
Product dimensions and weight.
Packaging and handling requirements.
Transport connectivity.
Delivery-address accessibility.
Availability of suitable logistics providers.
Local restrictions applicable to heavy commercial vehicles.
The availability of unloading equipment or labour.
Whether the product requires specialised or dedicated transportation.
International shipping may be considered for selected products after reviewing the destination, export requirements, packaging, freight, insurance and applicable duties. International delivery is not confirmed until Shwetshilp issues and the customer accepts a written quotation.
Shwetshilp may decline delivery to a location where safe or commercially reasonable transportation cannot be arranged.

2. Order Processing
Order processing begins after:
Successful receipt of the required payment.
Confirmation of the delivery address.
Confirmation of product specifications.
Approval of drawings or designs for customised products.
Completion of any required verification.
Receipt of the required production advance.
Orders placed on Sundays, public holidays or outside normal business hours will ordinarily begin processing on the next working day.
If additional information or approval is required, processing will remain suspended until the customer provides the requested information.

3. Ready-to-Ship Products
Ready-to-ship products are ordinarily dispatched within three to seven working days after payment confirmation.
This period allows for:
Product inspection.
Surface cleaning and finishing.
Protective wrapping.
Crating or specialised packaging.
Shipping documentation.
Coordination with the logistics provider.
A product described as ready to ship may still require additional time where customised packaging, remote delivery or specialised transportation is necessary.

4. Made-to-Order and Customised Products
Made-to-order and customised marble products ordinarily require fifteen to forty-five working days for production before dispatch.
Production time depends on:
Product dimensions.
Stone selection and availability.
Design complexity.
Cutting and carving requirements.
Engraving or personalisation.
Finishing and polishing.
Quantity ordered.
Drying, setting or curing requirements.
Quality-control checks.
Packaging requirements.
Large architectural products, intricate carvings, bulk orders and highly customised projects may require more than forty-five working days. The estimated schedule communicated in the accepted quotation or order confirmation will apply to such orders.
Production timelines begin only after the required payment, specifications and customer approvals have been received.
Any change requested after production begins may increase the price and extend the production schedule.

5. Estimated Delivery Time
After dispatch, delivery within India ordinarily takes five to fifteen working days.
Delivery may take longer for:
Remote or rural locations.
North-eastern states.
Islands or restricted territories.
Large or heavy products.
Dedicated-vehicle deliveries.
Locations with restricted commercial-vehicle access.
Products requiring cranes, hoists or specialised unloading.
Deliveries affected by weather, strikes or road restrictions.
All delivery dates are reasonable estimates and are not guaranteed unless Shwetshilp expressly confirms a fixed delivery commitment in writing.
Production time and transportation time are separate. An estimated production period does not include the time required for delivery after dispatch.

6. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges depend on:
Product weight and dimensions.
Delivery location.
Packaging and crating requirements.
Mode of transportation.
Insurance requirements.
Loading and unloading arrangements.
Requirement for a dedicated vehicle.
Special handling or equipment.
Applicable taxes and local charges.
Where shipping is included in the product price, this will be clearly stated on the product page, quotation or order confirmation.
Where shipping is charged separately, the applicable amount will be displayed at checkout or communicated before the order is confirmed.
Additional charges may apply if the customer provides incomplete or inaccurate delivery information or fails to disclose access restrictions.

7. Packaging
Marble and natural-stone products are heavy, fragile and susceptible to impact damage. Shwetshilp uses packaging appropriate to the product’s size, shape and transportation requirements.
Packaging may include:
Protective surface wrapping.
Foam or cushioning material.
Edge and corner protection.
Corrugated boxes.
Wooden crates.
Pallets.
Moisture protection.
Internal supports and restraints.
Handling and orientation markings.
The type of packaging used will be determined by Shwetshilp based on the product and mode of transportation.
Customers should retain all packaging materials until the product has been fully inspected and any delivery-related concern has been resolved.

8. Delivery Address and Contact Information
Customers must provide:
The complete delivery address.
Correct postal code.
Active telephone number.
Recipient’s full name.
Nearby landmark where necessary.
Goods and Services Tax details where required.
Site-access and delivery instructions.
Details of commercial-vehicle restrictions.
Shwetshilp is not responsible for delays or additional expenses caused by an incorrect, incomplete or inaccessible delivery address.
Address changes may be accepted before dispatch. Once an order has been dispatched, an address change may not be possible and may attract additional transportation and handling charges.

9. Site Accessibility
Before placing an order for a large or heavy product, the customer must confirm that the delivery location is accessible.
The customer must check:
Road width and turning space.
Commercial-vehicle access.
Entry-gate dimensions.
Doorway and passage width.
Lift dimensions and weight capacity.
Staircase dimensions.
Floor-bearing capacity.
Housing-society or building restrictions.
Permitted delivery hours.
Availability of labour or unloading equipment.
The customer must inform Shwetshilp before dispatch if the site requires:
A smaller delivery vehicle.
Manual carrying over a long distance.
Staircase movement.
Crane or hoist support.
Additional labour.
Special permits.
Delivery during restricted hours.
Additional expenses arising from undisclosed access limitations will be payable by the customer.

10. Scope of Standard Delivery
Unless specifically included in the order confirmation, standard delivery means transportation and unloading at a reasonably accessible ground-level location.
Standard delivery does not include:
Carrying the product to an upper floor.
Carrying the product through narrow passages.
Shifting the product inside the premises.
Opening or removing wooden crates.
Assembly.
Installation.
Plumbing or electrical work.
Civil or structural work.
Cutting, drilling or polishing at the site.
Crane, hoist or forklift services.
Disposal of packaging material.
These services may be arranged at an additional cost where available and agreed in advance.

11. Unloading
The customer must arrange adequate labour and equipment for unloading unless unloading is expressly included in the order.
Heavy marble products should not be unloaded or moved by untrained persons. The customer must ensure that:
Sufficient trained labour is available.
Appropriate lifting equipment is used.
The product is handled according to package markings.
The product is not dragged, dropped or tilted unsafely.
Large slabs and panels are supported correctly.
The unloading area is clear and safe.
Shwetshilp is not responsible for damage occurring after the product has been handed over for unloading where unloading is arranged or controlled by the customer.

12. Delivery Appointments
For large, heavy or dedicated-vehicle shipments, the logistics provider or Shwetshilp may contact the customer to arrange a delivery date or time window.
The customer or an authorised representative must be present to receive and inspect the shipment.
Delivery time windows are estimates and may be affected by traffic, road restrictions, weather and previous delivery schedules.

13. Failed Delivery
A delivery may be treated as unsuccessful if:
The recipient is unavailable.
The address is incorrect or incomplete.
The customer refuses delivery without a valid reason.
The premises are inaccessible.
Required permissions have not been obtained.
Unloading labour or equipment is unavailable.
The customer cannot be contacted.
The delivery vehicle is prevented from entering the location.
Where delivery fails for a reason attributable to the customer, the customer may be required to pay:
Re-delivery charges.
Vehicle detention or waiting charges.
Loading and unloading charges.
Warehousing or storage charges.
Return-transportation charges.
Additional packing or handling expenses.
Shwetshilp may withhold re-delivery until these charges are paid.

14. Order Tracking
Where tracking is available, Shwetshilp will provide the tracking number or shipment details after dispatch.
Tracking information may take up to forty-eight hours to become active.
For dedicated vehicles, heavy freight or specialised transport, conventional online tracking may not be available. Shwetshilp or the logistics provider may instead communicate shipment progress through telephone, email or messaging updates.

15. Split Shipments
An order containing multiple products may be dispatched in separate shipments where:
Products have different production timelines.
Products are stored at different locations.
Separate packaging is safer.
Vehicle capacity requires multiple shipments.
Part of the order is ready earlier.
Where an order is split for Shwetshilp’s operational convenience, the customer will not be charged additional shipping fees unless separately agreed.

16. Inspection at Delivery
The customer or authorised representative must inspect the shipment at delivery wherever reasonably possible.
Before accepting the delivery:
Check the number of packages.
Inspect the packaging for tears, holes, crushing or water exposure.
Check the wooden crate or pallet for breakage.
Record visible damage on the delivery receipt.
Take photographs of any damaged packaging.
Record an unedited unpacking video.
The customer should not refuse delivery solely because the external packaging shows minor wear. If the package appears materially damaged, the condition should be recorded before opening.

17. Transit Damage
Any transit damage must be reported through Shwetshilp’s official Contact Us or customer-support facility within forty-eight hours of delivery.
The claim should include:
Customer’s name.
Order number.
Delivery date.
Clear photographs of the outer packaging.
Clear photographs of the shipping label.
Photographs of the internal packaging.
Photographs of the entire product.
Close-up photographs of the damaged area.
An unedited unpacking video.
A copy or photograph of the delivery receipt showing the damage notation.
The customer must retain the product and all packaging until Shwetshilp or the logistics provider completes the assessment.
The customer must not install, alter, polish, repair, discard or return the damaged product without written instructions from Shwetshilp.
Where a transit-damage claim is accepted, Shwetshilp may provide a repair, replacement component, replacement product, appropriate price adjustment or refund, depending on the nature and extent of damage.

18. Natural Variations Are Not Shipping Damage
Marble is a natural material. Differences in colour, shade, veining, grain, crystalline pattern, texture, pores, filled areas and surface characteristics are not transit damage.
Minor variations caused by hand-finishing are also not transit damage unless the product is materially different from the confirmed specifications or its intended function is affected.

19. Risk and Responsibility
Where Shwetshilp arranges delivery, the risk of transit loss or damage remains with Shwetshilp until the product is delivered to the customer or the customer’s authorised representative, subject to inspection and timely reporting requirements.
Where the customer independently appoints a transporter or collects the order from Shwetshilp’s location, risk passes to the customer when the product is handed over to the customer or the customer-appointed transporter.
After delivery and unloading, the customer is responsible for safe handling, storage, movement and installation.

20. Delayed Shipments
Delivery may be delayed because of:
Extreme weather.
Flooding or natural disasters.
Road closures.
Vehicle breakdown.
Traffic restrictions.
Strikes or civil disturbances.
Government orders.
Festivals and public holidays.
Transport shortages.
Quarry or raw-material interruptions.
Customs or regulatory inspections.
Events beyond Shwetshilp’s reasonable control.
Shwetshilp will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays and arrange delivery as soon as reasonably possible.
A delay will not automatically entitle the customer to compensation. If fulfilment becomes impossible or is delayed for an unreasonable period, Shwetshilp and the customer may agree on a revised delivery date, alternative product or cancellation of the unfulfilled portion.

21. Storage Charges
If an order is ready for dispatch but the customer requests delayed delivery or is unable to accept delivery, Shwetshilp may store the product for up to seven calendar days without charge.
After seven calendar days, reasonable storage, handling and insurance charges may apply.
If the customer does not accept delivery for an extended period despite repeated communication, Shwetshilp may take appropriate action under the Terms and Conditions, including recovering reasonable storage, re-delivery and handling costs.

22. International Shipping
Where international shipping is accepted:
Freight charges will be quoted separately.
Export packaging may involve additional charges.
Delivery timelines will depend on the destination and shipping mode.
Customs duties, import taxes and local clearance expenses will ordinarily be payable by the customer unless expressly included.
The customer is responsible for providing documents required for import clearance.
Delays caused by customs or foreign authorities are outside Shwetshilp’s direct control.
International returns will be assessed individually because of freight, customs and product-handling considerations.
International shipping will proceed only after the customer accepts the final quotation and shipping terms.

23. Installation Services
Installation is not included unless expressly mentioned in the product listing, quotation, invoice or order confirmation.
Where installation is included, the customer must ensure:
The site is ready.
Access is available.
Required permissions have been obtained.
Electrical, plumbing and civil preparations are complete.
The area is safe and clear.
Required utilities are available.
Waiting time, repeat visits or additional work resulting from an unprepared site may be charged separately.

24. Customer Support
For shipping enquiries, delivery updates, address corrections, delayed shipments or transit-damage claims, contact Shwetshilp through the official Contact Us or customer-support facility available on the website.
Customers should provide their order number in all shipping-related communications.
Shwetshilp will acknowledge consumer complaints within forty-eight hours and will endeavour to resolve them within one month, subject to applicable law and the time reasonably required for inspection or transporter assessment.

25. Changes to This Policy
Shwetshilp may update this Shipping and Delivery Policy to reflect changes in logistics arrangements, serviceable locations, costs, products or applicable law.
The revised Policy will be published on the website with an updated effective date.
The shipping conditions confirmed when an order is accepted will continue to apply to that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.

26. Governing Law
The laws of India govern this Shipping and Delivery Policy.
Nothing in this Policy restricts any right or remedy available to a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection E-Commerce Rules, 2020 or other applicable laws.

27. Contact Information
For all shipping and delivery matters, customers may contact Shwetshilp through the official Contact Us and customer-support facilities displayed on the website.
